Original concept for the King of the Hill multiplayer mode introduced in Mortal Kombat (2011). Leveraging Xbox 360 Avatars as an audience (and custom MK Avatars for the PS3 version), we created a theater experience where players can comment and emote on the fight that was taking place as they wait in line to take on the King.
When Mortal Kombat (2011) was ported to the Playstation Vita, we considered a full touch-screen based Interface re-design. This was the proposed concept. Unfortunately, it was not possible to implement in time for release.
Compilation of some of the Character Endings for Mortal Kombat (2011). Due to size restrictions, the animations could not be 1080p videos (i.e. rendered offline with traditional motion graphics software such as After Effects), but rather were required to run in real-time in Scaleform and Flash. This limited what was possible in terms of content and effects, but good art and clever animation techniques allowed us to achieve impressive results despite our technical limitations.
